1. Get an overview of the activities
Plan your visit by reading about the different experiences below, as well as our activities with pre-registration.
2. Hide packed lunches well
At our place, the animals roam freely and sniff out every last crumb. We recommend having lunch in the animal-free area near the café.
3. Give children a soft introduction to animals
A good tip is to hold the youngest children in your arms the first time you introduce them to the animals.
4. Be prepared to spend time in the tractor track
There’s no shame if the children want to spend a lot of time on the tractor track and play area near the chicken coop.
5. Wear good shoes
Dress according to the weather, and wear waterproof and sturdy shoes so that the day can be enjoyed even if it’s wet and chilly.

Discover the Petting Zoo
Every day the whole year, you can bring your family to EKT Riding School and Petting Zoo.
Experience the unique atmosphere in the park and stroll among the calm animals.
Take a walk into the enclosures and learn more about the farm life.
A memorable experience for young and old!
Horses in liberty
Saturdays and Sundays at 1 pm. Join us in the riding hall and witness our beautiful horses in action. A magical experience for the whole family! Duration approximately 30 minutes. Watch a film from horses in liberty
Pony Horseback Riding
Weekends and holidays from 10am to 5pm. Weekdays from 10am to 3pm.
Embark on an enchanting horseback riding adventure in a safe and calm environment, perfect for young children. Our friendly ponies are led by our staff that are specialized in horses.
NOK 50 per ride.
Leap in the Hay!
Every day during opening hours. Fun for kids – jump from the height that suits you best. Welcome to a fun and active experience!
Horse and Carriage Rides
On Sundays from 12-2 pm, come enjoy a charming horse and carriage ride experience in Ekebergparken with our beautiful Norwegian Dole horse.
Tickets are NOK 90 per person and can be purchased on site. Please inquire with the ticket seller for weather-dependent driving offers upon arrival.

Café
Indulge in delicious treats for body and soul at our café. From the best (and biggest?) cinnamon buns to handmade sandwiches, waffles, homemade pumpkin soup, a wide range of coffee (espresso), and organic tea, we offer a menu that caters to all tastes.

Christmas fun for kindergaten groups
During the Advent weeks, we welcome kindergartens and private family groups for a cozy day of pony riding, cuddling and animal care,
Christmas porridge, Christmas tree and sing-along!

Half day educational courses
Sign up for our engaging and educational half-day animal care and riding courses for children aged 6-12.
Treat your kids to fun and informative days during the holidays by enrolling them in our Animal Keeper for a Day and Beginner’s Day with Horses courses. Join us for an unforgettable experience!
Weekends, Public Holidays, and Vacations
Sign up for single riding lessons in our bright and airy indoor arena or enjoy a guided ride through in the forest Ekebergparken.
Our lessons cater to all levels, from beginners to advanced riders, and are suitable for riders aged 6 and above.
All lessons are taught in Norwegian and require a good level of understandig Norwegian.
